Product Overview
This floor mounting bracket is designed for installing compatible Eberspächer (Espar) and Webasto air heaters through a vehicle floor. A large diameter circular cutout in the floor is required to fit this bracket. All mounting holes are pre-drilled to simplify installation and ensure proper alignment. Please note - product might come painted black or plain stainless steel finish

This site does not really provide a great explanation of what this part is needed for, but if you are mounting the heater on the floor, this part is a must!

Floor mounting bracket recommneded
I installed a D2 heater in my 2017 Mercedes Sprinter and the floor mounting bracket worked very well. I chose to install the heater on the drivers side floor, just in front of the rear wheel well. I think this location is much preferred over the passenger seat installation location. The diesel tap from the tank is on the drivers side and it makes in convenient. It is also preferred to be able to have the exhaust on the driver side away from the main cargo door.
